Vol. 118 No. 8

Business of the Seanad.

I have notice from Senator John Connor that, on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The possibility of siting the administrative headquarters of the proposed National Forestry Authority in Castlerea, County Roscommon as part of the Government's decentralisation policy.

I also received notice from Senator David Norris of the following matter:

The condition of the paintings in the possession of the National Gallery of Ireland.

I also received notice from Senator Paul Bradford of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to expedite the processing of applications by farmers throughout the north Cork region for inclusion in the disadvantaged areas scheme.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Connor, Norris and Bradford as suitable for discussion on the adjournment. I have selected Senator Connor's motion which will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Norris and Bradford may give notice for another day of the matters they wish to raise.
