Vol. 119 No. 6

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator John Connor that, on the Motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to make an immediate increase in the roads block grant to Roscommon County Council in order that serious deficiencies on dangerous stretches of roadway in the county can be rectified and made passable again.

I also received notice from Senator Gerry Reynolds of the following matter:

The inclusion of County Leitrim as a pilot area for funding through the integrated rural development scheme.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Connor and Reynolds as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Connor's motion and it will be taken from 8 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., or earlier if the business ordered is concluded. Senator Reynolds may give notice for another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
