Vol. 121 No. 19

Death of Former Member: Expression of Sympathy.

Before the Order of Business, I would like the House to pass a vote of sympathy to the wife and family of John Nash, a former Member of this House who died tragically on holiday recently. He played a very active role in the Seanad, and indeed in the industrial development of north Tipperary.

On behalf of the Fine Gael Party I would like to be associated with that vote of sympathy to the family of John Nash, who was a very distinguished Member of this House and a man whom I have known for a long number of years.

I, too, would like the Members of the Independent group to be associated with the vote of sympathy.

As I knew Senator Nash very well I, too, would like to be associated with the vote of sympathy.

Senators rose in their places.
