Vol. 123 No. 18

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have notice from Senator Liam Cosgrave that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House to-day, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The delay in publishing the report on pay and conditions in the Defence Forces with the continuing hardship for members and their dependants.

I also received notice from Senator Avril Doyle of the following matter:

The critical problems caused to all sectors, rural and urban, by recent storms on our coastline and inland, the lack of Government response and the totally inadequate emergency moneys offered by Brussels.

I also received notice from Senator Shane Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to explain any arrangement he has reached with a Member of Dáil Éireann concerning the funding of hospital services in Roscommon.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Cosgrave, Doyle and Ross as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matter raised by Senator Cosgrave and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Doyle and Ross may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
