Seanad Éireann debate -
Wednesday, 30 Oct 1991

Vol. 130 No. 3

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Neville that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to ensure that the extension to St. Mary's national school, Askeaton, is constructed in 1992.

I also received notice from Senator Costello of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to fulfil her commitment to rebuild the old Model School in the grounds of the Department of Education in Marlborough Street, Dublin 1.

Tá fógra agam ón Seanadóir Pól Ó Foighil:

Le iarraidh ar an Taoiseach Billí an Oireachtais a thionscnamh i nGaeilge agus i mBéarla as seo amach.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Neville and Costello as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Neville's matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Costello may give notice another day of the matter he wishes to raise.

I regret I have had to rule the matter raised by Senator Ó Foighil as not suitable for discussion on the Adjournment on the grounds of lack of ministerial responsibility.
