Vol. 130 No. 18

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have notice from Senator Ross that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications to outline the present position of the extension of the DART to Greystones, County Wicklow, and to provide extra subvention to Bus Átha Cliath to ensure adequate bus services.

I also received notice from Senator Raftery of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Marine to take immediate steps to prevent the quay wall in Cobh, County Cork from collapsing into the sea.

I also received notice from Senator O'Keeffe of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to confirm if the regional sports complex in Cork is going ahead; and if he will will give a date for the commencement of the project given the huge demand for such a facility on the western side of Cork city.

I also received notice from Senator Costello of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health to make provision for the disposal of clinical waste from hospitals which will not involve on-site incineration.

I also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to ensure that the extension of the girls primary school in Adare, County Limerick, is constructed in 1992.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Ross, O'Keeffe, Costello and Neville as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Ross' matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators O'Keeffe, Costello and Neville may give notice another day of the matters they wish to raise.
