Seanad Éireann debate -
Friday, 6 Mar 1992

Vol. 131 No. 14

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Seán Byrne that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Agriculture and Food to put into effect the Abattoirs Regulations 1989 relating to meat inspections and the charging of fees as Tipperary South Riding and all other County Councils have had to meet the cost of the employment of a veterinary officer from their own scarce resources.

I also received notice from Senator Hugh Byrne of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to outline his proposals on the proposed national coastal part for South Wexford.

I regard the matters raised by Senators Seán and Hugh Byrne as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Seán Byrne's matter and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Hugh Byrne may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
