Vol. 137 No. 3

Business of Seanad.

An Leas-Chathaoirleach

I have notice from Senator O'Sullivan that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Finance to impose stricter control on activities of out-of-State shooters, particularly in regard to over-exploitation of irreplaceable migratory game birds.

I received notice from Senator Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to carry out an immediate investigation into the life-threatening explosion at Balleece Quarry in Rathdrum, County Wicklow and to suspend its operation until appropriate safety measures have been put in place.

I also received notice from Senator Burke of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to provide Mayo Abbey national school with proper toilet facilities.

I also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to extend the urban renewal scheme to Rathkeale, County Limerick.

I regard the matters raised by Senators O'Sullivan and Ross as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senators Burke and Neville may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
