Vol. 140 No. 18

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Norris that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Social Welfare to intervene in support of the Centre for Independent Living.

I have also received notice from Senator Cotter of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice to review the application for citizenship of a person of Irish extraction from South Africa (details supplied) and that the review be carried out with a view to issuing the applicant with an Irish passport.

I have also received notice from Senator Cregan of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to outline to the House the up-to-date position in Irish Steel.

I regard the matters raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Norris' and Senator Cotter's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Cregan may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
