Wednesday, 27 Mar 1996

Vol. 146 No. 18

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Hayes that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to finalise the situation that surrounds the siting of a new school for Coláiste de hÍde in Tallaght.

I have also received notice from Senator Mooney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to outline the current state of relations between Ireland and Taiwan, known as the Republic of China, and the practical steps he believes Ireland can take to assist in reducing tension in the South China Seas.

I have also received notice from Senator Neville of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to appoint a remedial teacher to Glenbrohane, Knockadea, Ballylanders and Knocklong national schools in County Limerick.

I regard the matters raised as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected Senator Hayes's and Senator Mooney's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Neville may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
