Vol. 147 No. 13

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Enright that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to review the regulations under the Sports Capital Programme whereby swimming pools are specifically excluded under section 1.1 of the Sports Capital Programme, in view of the fact that swimming pools are most important for recreation; and if she will consider funding for new pools and the maintenance of existing pools under this scheme.

I have also received notice from Senator Cosgrave of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Enterprise and Employment to outline his attitude to the recent Consumer Association of Ireland survey into the country's 13 biggest mortgage lenders.

I regard these matters as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and they will be taken at the conclusion of business.
