Vol. 150 No. 8

Business of Seanad.

I have received notice from Senator Mullooly that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to provide immediate sanction to the board of management of Lanesboro community college, Lanesboro, County Longford, to advertise the proposed school extension for tender so that work on the project can commence in early summer 1997.

I have also received notice from Senator Doyle of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to expedite the tendering procedure for the proposed multi-denominational school at Ranelagh.

I have also received notice from Senator Finneran of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to sanction and provide the necessary funds for the construction of a new national school at Cloontuskert, County Roscommon.

I regard the matters raised by Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and I have selected Senator Mullooly's and Senator Doyle's matters and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senator may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
