I have notice from Senator Finneran that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to sanction and provide the necessary funds for the construction of a new national school at Cloontuskert, County Roscommon.

I have also received notice from Senator Reynolds of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment to provide funding in 1997 for the Drumkeerin/Manorhamilton/Dromohair water supply scheme and Lurganboy sewerage scheme.

I have also received notice from Senator Daly of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to sanction the new school project for Gaelscoil Mhichíl Cíosóg, Ennis, County Clare.

I have also received notice from Senator Kelleher of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to appoint the necessary technical staff to ensure that Gaelscoil Peig Sayers, Cork, proceeds.

I have also received notice from Senator Fahey of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to confirm that Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh will go to tender and commence construction in 1997.

I have also received notice from Senator Hayes of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the proposed extension of the Tallaght regional technical college given the serious problems of overcrowding in the college.

I have also received notice from Senator Maloney of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Justice to explain why transit vans which have been imported legally into Donegal should be seized by the Garda.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senator Finneran and Senator Daly and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
