I have notice from Senator Quinn that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to consider an educational campaign in conjunction with retailers in advance of introducing a tax on plastic bags to ensure that the tax results in lower usage of bags rather than an increase in inflation.
I regard the matter raised by the Senator as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business.
