Vol. 165 No. 3

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator O'Meara that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, she proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to grant disadvantaged status to Littleton primary school, County Tipperary, in view of the special needs of a number of pupils there and the inability of the school to meet these special needs without this status.

I have also received notice from Senator Henry of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to establish forthwith an adopted persons contact register as promised in the programme for Government.

I have also received notice from Senator Taylor-Quinn of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Health and Children to immediately instruct the Mid-Western Health Board to provide funding for the purchase of a mammography machine at Ennis General Hospital and to ensure this service is continued on a long-term basis.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators O'Meara and Henry and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Taylor-Quinn may give notice on another day of the matter she wishes to raise.
