Vol. 166 No. 2

Business of Seanad.

An Cathaoirleach: I have received notice from Senator Glynn that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:
The need for the Minister for Health and Children to approve the Midland Health Board's brief regarding the development of phase 2B of Longford-Westmeath General Hospital which was submitted to his Department in October 2000.
I have also received notice from Senator Jackman of the following matter:
The need for the Minister for the Environment and Local Government to investigate the dumping of a particular substance in a quarry in Montpelier, County Limerick, and the subsequent storage of the said substance at Marrow Meats facility in Dromkeen, County Limerick.
I regard the matter raised by Senator Glynn as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment and it will be taken at the conclusion of business. I regret that I have had to rule Senator Jackman's matter out on the grounds of lack of ministerial responsibility.
