Vol. 191 No. 5

Business of Seanad.

I have notice from Senator Jerry Buttimer that, on the motion for the Adjournment of the House today, he proposes to raise the following matter:

The need for the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government to publish the report of the Cork Docklands Forum on the Cork docklands.

I have also received notice from Senator Brian Ó Domhnaill of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to provide an update on school building projects (details supplied) and to outline when each project will progress.

I have also received notice from Senator Pearse Doherty of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Education and Science to state whether in regard to Scoil Chonaill Naofa, Bunbeg, County Donegal, which applied for an extension 11 years ago, an electrical contractor has concluded that the electrics are very unsafe, there is no fire alarm system in the school and the electrical consumer board does not have proper tripping protection.

I have also received notice from Senator Shane Ross of the following matter:

The need for the Minister for Transport to improve services for cyclists in Dublin city centre.

I regard the matters raised by the Senators as suitable for discussion on the Adjournment. I have selected the matters raised by Senators Buttimer, Ó Domhnaill and Doherty and they will be taken at the conclusion of business. Senator Ross may give notice on another day of the matter he wishes to raise.
