Gnó an tSeanaid - Business of Seanad

I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:Senator Vincent P. Martin - The need for the Minister for Transport to provide an update on the Naas mobility network integration project which was selected under the pathfinder programme in October 2022.

Senator Lisa Chambers - The need for the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications to provide an update on the uptake of the deep retrofit grant through one-stop shops; and his plans to deal with any issues identified in scheme, in particular the addition of windows and doors to the home energy grants.Senator Seán Kyne - The need for the Minister for Finance to make a statement on progress with the programme for Government commitment to index link tax credits and bands.Senator Micheál Carrigy - The need for the Minister for Health to provide timelines on the provision of new equipment for the radiology department at St. Joseph's Hospital, Longford and additional facilities at the primary care centre in Ballyminion, County Longford.Senator Tim Lombard - The need for the Minister for Transport to provide an update on works at Castlefreke and Old Head Coast Guard stations.Senator Paul Gavan - The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs to make a statement on the Colombian peace process.Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for Education to make a statement on the planned additional classrooms for Scoil Íosagáin, Coolgreany, Gorey, County Wexford.Senator Fiona O'Loughlin - The need for the Minister for Transport to make a statement on the roll-out of a blue parking card to those living with dementia and their families.Senator Maria Byrne - The need for the Minister for Social Protection to provide an update on the review of the means test.Senator Michael McDowell - The need for the Minister for Justice to ensure An Garda Síochána enforces the laws pertaining to slot machines and gaming arcades in Dublin city.Senator Mary Seery Kearney - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to make a statement on Government funding for St. John Ambulance Ireland in light of the breaches of child protection laws as laid out in Dr. Geoffrey Shannon's report.

Of the matters raised by the Senators suitable for discussion, I have selected Senators Vincent P. Martin, Lisa Chambers, Seán Kyne and Micheál Carrigy and they will be taken now. I regret that I had to rule out of order the matter raised by Senator Michael McDowell on the ground that the Minister has no official responsibility in the matter. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters that they wish to raise.
