I have received notice from the following Senators that they propose to raise the following matters:

Senator Mary Seery Kearney - The need for the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs to make a statement on the timelines for processing and registering foreign births on the foreign births register.

Senator Victor Boyhan - The need for the Minister for Rural and Community Development to make a statement on the purpose, and allocation on a county-by-county basis, of the community recognition fund.

Senator Micheál Carrigy - The need for the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth to provide funding for the establishment of one-stop shops in each county to support persons on the autism spectrum.

Senator Malcolm Byrne - The need for the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment to make a statement on the Government's intention to hold a referendum on Ireland's membership of the unitary patent system in June 2024.

Senator Erin McGreehan - The need for the Minister for Rural and Community Development to make a statement on the allocation of funding to support the rural communities in north Louth which had their roads destroyed by flooding in October 2023.

Senator Martin Conway - The need for the Minister for Health to agree and implement strict protocols between the HSE and Tusla on the provision of timely and appropriate services and care to vulnerable children and young adults and those with complex needs.

Senator Garret Ahearn - The need for the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science to make a statement on the financial supports available to students studying abroad.

The matters raised by the Senators are suitable for discussion. I have selected those raised by Senators Mary Seery Kearney, Victor Boyhan, Micheál Carrigy and Malcolm Byrne and they will be taken now. The other Senators may give notice on another day of the matters they wish to raise.
