I propose that, before commencing our consideration of the Bill, we go into private session for a few minutes so that I can address a procedural matter which arose at the last meeting. Is that agreed? Agreed.
The Select Committee went into private session at 1.06 p.m. and resumed in public session at 1.07 p.m.
The purpose of today's meeting is to resume consideration of the Committee Stage of the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse Bill, 2000, which was referred to the Select Committee by the Dáil on 9 March 2000. I welcome the Minister and his officials. It is proposed to adjourn today's meeting at 3 p.m. Is that agreed? Agreed.
