SECTION 7.

I move amendment No. 8:

In page 7, subsection (2), after "21" to insert "or 26".

Section 7 provides that summary proceedings in respect of offences under any section of the Bill may be brought and prosecuted by the Director of Consumer Affairs and that summary proceedings in respect of offences under section 21 may be brought and prosecuted by the Minister. The amendment makes it clear that the Minister may also bring summary proceedings in respect of indictable offences under section 22 of the 1982 Act. This will bring the 1982 Act into line with the current Bill.
