SECTION 126.

I move amendment No. 137:

In page 100, lines 15 to 26, to delete subsection (4).

The League of Credit Unions proposed that this subsection be deleted on the grounds that it is unnecessary. In support of its case it indicated that section 19(3) of the Arbitration Act, 1954, provides sufficient power to the Registrar to fulfil the duties of an arbitrator. It saw little point in the inclusion of a separate provision in this section. The office of the Attorney General has agreed to my request to delete the subsection and accordingly I recommend acceptance of the amendment.
