Question proposed: "That section 21 stand part of the Bill."
This section is of tremendous importance. Does the Minister intend to provide money in the 1996 Estimates for the services, including staff, which will be required under the terms of this Bill? If the resources are not supplied, the Bill will lack efficacy in the short term.
I assure the Deputy that I will not set up a Judicial Appointments Advisory Board which cannot function. When this board is set up and its work is assessed, the necessary resources and staff will be provided. I cannot set up a Judicial Appointments Advisory Board and then not allow it to do its work.
Why will the Minister not say what she has to do?
