Business of Select Committee

Apologies have been received from the Chairman, Deputy Michael McCarthy, that he is not available this morning. I have also been informed that Deputy Cowen's aunt has passed away and he will not be in attendance. I have not been informed whether Fianna Fáil wishes to nominate a substitute, but here comes somebody now.

I remind members to turn off their mobile phones and remind them that this meeting will be conducted in public session. The meeting has been convened for the consideration by the select sub-committee of the Electoral (Amendment) (Dáil Constituencies) Bill 2012. The select sub-committee will consider the Bill from now until 2.15 p.m. if necessary and if the proceedings are not concluded by then, we will adjourn until a further date. Is that agreed? Agreed.
