I move amendment No 10 :
In subsection (1), line 3, after " fee " to insert " not exceeding one shilling ".
Quite obviously, I do not trust the Department of Finance in fixing the fees.
SECTION 16.
The Department of Finance, or its equivalent was mentioned in the Act of 1916. We have omitted it in this Bill because I thought we could safely leave the well-being of the business community to the tender care of the Minister for Industry and Commerce, relying on him to ensure that fees will not be unduly high.
What is the present fee?
Is the Deputy talking of the fee for actual registration?
No, for the copy of the certificate. The inspection fee is 1/-
I think the other fee is very small.
If the principle that it should be a nominal fee is accepted, I am quite happy.
