270 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there are no designated palliative care beds in the south east regional cancer centre at Waterford Regional Hospital; the priority proposals he has in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of palliative care services in the Waterford area is the responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked its CEO to investigate the matter and to reply directly to him, as a matter of urgency.
