312 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the reason compensation has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway concerning a special payment to a person who had to de-stock ewes for environmental reasons; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The person named was not included on the database of payees received by my Department from the Department of Agriculture and Food. Officials in my Department are making inquiries as to what payment, if any, is due to the person named. A letter will issue to him shortly in this regard.
