339 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the reason for the delay in issuing grants for 2004 to an association (details supplied) in County Kildare, in respect of the provision of security for the elderly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20973/04]

Arrangements for the 2004 scheme of community support for older people are in preparation in my Department and it is intended that the scheme will be advertised in the local and national papers in the coming weeks.
