135 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the immediate measures which are being taken at the Beaumont Hospital dialysis unit on foot of the report which fails to identify the source of new infection of a dialysis patient with hepatitis C; when funding will be made available for the planned new unit; and when the unit will be operational. Services at Beaumont Hospital are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority and my Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to examine this issue and to reply to the Deputy directly.
