View answerThe five colleges of education do not, in the normal course of events, submit information to my Department setting out the county of origin for their students in respect of each year of study. They do, however, provide the county of origin for the overall number of students in their colleges for a particular academic year. The material in respect of the three colleges of education directly funded by my Department is as follows: Coláiste Mhuire Marino — 8; Froebel College of Education — 7; Church of Ireland College — 1. I have requested that the HEA-funded colleges of education — St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra, and Mary Immaculate College, Limerick — explore whether it is possible to provide the information requested by the Deputy in the required format. I will ask my officials to contact the Deputy in relation to this matter in due course.
