Breen asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Health and Children the number of prosecutions taken by health boards against nursing homes for each of the years 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 to date; the number of successful prosecutions for each of these years; the names of the nursing homes and their proprietors who were successfully prosecuted; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The information requested by the Deputy is not normally collated in the Department. Accordingly, the Department has requested this information from the national director of primary, community and continuing care of the Health Service Executive and will forward it to the Deputy.
