398 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Transport if arrangements will be made for owners of tractors with tipping trailers to be eligible for consideration for work for commercial hire with local authorities; if he proposes to introduce a system of road freight carriers licence eligibility for them; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In the light of the recent representations to me in this regard, I am currently reviewing the issues raised by the Deputy with a view to finding a solution to the difficulties which have been recently brought to my attention and I will revert back to him in due course on the matter.
