491 Mr. J. Breen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when the report on the regulations covering auctioneers’ business here will be produced; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [30518/05]
View answerI published the report of the auctioneers and estate agency review group on Tuesday, 18 October 2005. At the same time, I announced that the Government had approved the establishment of a national property services regulatory authority, one of the key recommendations in the report. The new authority is being established on an interim basis pending the enactment of the necessary statutory framework. It will be based in Navan and I anticipate that it will be operating by early 2006.
