I refer the Deputy to the detailed reply which I gave to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 655 and 663 on Tuesday, 18 October as well as my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 484 on Tuesday, 25 October 2005. I have nothing further to add to those replies concerning the complaints procedures that are currently in place and the proposals I have for changes in the law.

With regard to the matter of any complaints having been referred to An Garda Síochána, It has not been possible within the timeframe involved to collate the information required by the Deputy. I will contact him directly when the information is to hand.
