513 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in respect of a person, details supplied, in County Carlow who is anxious to be allocated a bus ticket for the Gaelscoil primary school in Carlow; if they can be allocated a ticket as a matter of urgency; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Bus Éireann, which organises the school transport scheme on behalf of my Department, has been requested to provide a report on the case referred to by the Deputy in the details supplied. When this report has been received and considered, my Department will be in a position to advise the Deputy of the position.

514 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Education and Science the position in respect of the school bus from Boley, Shillelagh, to a school, details supplied; if, in view of the numbers who need this service, the bus can be re-routed in order that it goes to Boley to pick up and let down students; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The parents of the children in question should apply for school transport to the transport liaison officer for County Wicklow at the offices of the local vocational educational committee. A decision can then be conveyed to those involved.
