Written answers

Section 13 of the Road Traffic Act 2002 empowers me to make regulations in relation to a range of road traffic related matters. However, many of the provisions in respect of which regulations can be made replicate provisions applicable under existing regulatory codes, for example, speed limit regulations for roads and classes of vehicles, road traffic regulation and regulations in relation to the construction, equipment & use of vehicles. I do not have any proposals to commence this section at this time.
