The Employment Permits Section of my Department has informed me that this application was refused on 14th September 2006 on the basis that the position the employer seeks to fill could be filled from within the EU and that the above named individual was on a study visa and was therefore not entitled to enter full time employment. Having heard an appeal, the original decision was upheld in this case. The employer was notified of these decisions in writing.
