View answerI refer to Parliamentary Question No. 181 of 8 November 2007 which stated that the guardians of the child referred to by the Deputy were advised to contact the relevant office of the Garda National Immigration Bureau in order to regularise the child's position. Following this, the child in question attended the offices of the Garda National Immigration Bureau at which time doubts arose in relation to her identity and she was advised to write to my Department.
I have been informed by the Immigration Division of my Department that to date no communication has been received from the person concerned. They will write to her shortly in relation to the matter.
