Written answers

A total of twenty Reserve Gardaí have been successful in the full-time Garda competition and have commenced training. Data in relation to the number of Reserve Gardaí who have applied to become full-time members of An Garda Siochana is not available. The Garda Síochána Admissions and Appointments Regulations which govern full-time entry to An Garda Síochána, provide that recognition is given for satisfactory service in the Reserve.
