408 Deputy Mary Upton asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the position with regard to the renewal of the social inclusion programme with a partnership (details supplied); if he will confirm that the programme will be renewed and the funding allocated to the partnership to implement the programme in 2009; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The process of awarding the new LDSIP contract to the company mentioned by the Deputy, which will apply to the whole county of Meath, has not yet been completed. My Department, in conjunction with Pobal, is seeking to finalise some issues with the process of awarding the contract and I am hopeful that this can be brought to a conclusion shortly.
