View answerUnder the current decentralisation programme, the Department's Head Quarters, Social Welfare Appeals Office, Information and Communications Technology Division (ICT) and Citizens Information Board are designated to relocate to Drogheda. Following a recent review of the decentralisation programme, which took account of the changed economic circumstances and the deterioration in public finances, the Minister for Finance has decided to defer proceeding with permanent accommodation in Drogheda. This location will be considered as part of the overall review of the decentralisation programme in 2011.
