View answerThe number of staff in the Department of Education and Science at end December in each year since 2007 is outlined as follows: 2007: 1342 (1252.95 WTE); 2008: 1428 (1330.64 WTE); 2009: 1359 (1270.30 WTE). The breakdown of staff by divisional structure at end December 2009 is tabulated as follows. The current breakdown of staff in the Department is not directly comparable to previous years due to changes in the Divisional structure of the Department.
