REPS 4 is governed by the EU Regulations which require stringent administrative checks to be completed before payments issue. There is a delay in processing applications in a number of local offices, including South Kerry, due to staffing issues arising from the Government moratorium on recruitment and promotion in the public service. My Department is attempting to resolve these issues as a matter of urgency with a view to ensuring the prompt processing of all claims.

View answerAs the Deputy will be aware there is a moratorium on recruitment and promotion in the public service. My Department has alternative arrangements in place to ensure the prompt processing of claims where staffing issues have arisen.
