View answerThe draft Catchment Flood Risk Management Plan (CFRMP) for the River Lee is at public consultation stage. The consultants, Halcrow Group Ireland Ltd., have been appointed to undertake a review of the November 2009 floods for the Rivers Lee and Owenboy. This is a hydrological and hydraulic review, examining, inter alia, rainfall depths and return periods, flood flow paths, extents and probabilities.
The terms of reference reflect the following aspects: Review and catalogue data, and understand the event; Create model boundaries; Run model for validation event; Post process modelling; Event comparison; and reporting and review. The initial review of the modelling is due to take place in mid-Summer. The outputs from this review will be included in the CFRMP for the River Lee.
