71 Deputy James Reilly asked the Minister for Health and Children if she will provide this Deputy with a copy of the report of a Health Information and Quality Authority investigation (details supplied); and if she will make a statement on the matter. [24155/10]
View answerI have been informed by the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) that no specific investigation has been conducted nor Report prepared into the particular circumstances of the case referred to by the Deputy. However the circumstances of the case are known to HIQA and helped inform the Authority's Report of the investigation into the quality and safety of services and supporting arrangements provided by the Health Service Executive at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital Ennis, which was published in April 2009. I understand that the Authority has been in communication with the Deputy in relation to the specific matters that he has raised.
