View answerThe national focal point for tobacco control is the Assistant Principal Officer in the Tobacco Control Unit in my Department, as notified to the European Commission.

View answerSection 6 of the Public Health (Tobacco) (Amendment) Act, 2009 provides for regulations to facilitate the introduction of the combined text and photo warnings on tobacco products and the regulations are currently being drafted. The date for the introduction of the new warnings will be determined following consultation with the relevant stakeholders.
