View answerIt is estimated that the yield from prescription charges will be about €2 million per month. It is intended that charges will be implemented from 1 September 2010, providing a yield of approximately €8m in the current year. The full year yield is expected to be approximately €24 million. My Department is presently working closely with the Health Service Executive on the detail of implementing the charges.
