277 Deputy Frank Feighan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Education and Skills the reason her Department invalidated a concessionary fare ticket in respect of a student (details supplied) in County Mayo on the grounds that school buses will not drop children off to childminders or relatives who have been given authority to receive them; and if she will investigate this unannounced provision and investigate this particular case. Bus Éireann which operates the school transport scheme on behalf of my Department has advised that the pupil named in the details supplied is being facilitated on a school transport service.
