497 Deputy Maureen O’Sullivan asked the Minister for Finance if he will provide details of the work done by the committee established to ensure that the parts of Haulbowline Island, County Cork, previously used for steel production storage and waste will be licensed under the Waste Acts. The working group established by Government Decision is examining the future use if the former Irish Ispat site on Haulbowline Island, County Cork. Issues relating to waste are outside the Terms of Reference of this group. These matters will be considered in light of Government's consideration of the recommendation of the Group as to the future use of the site.
