73 Deputy Máire Hoctor asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food his views on the way the Food Harvest 2020 report can contribute to the growth of the Irish organic and horticulture sectors; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [45046/10]
View answerThe Food Harvest 2020 report makes a number of specific recommendations in relation to the organic and horticulture sectors. In addition, there are a large number of recommendations of a general nature which would also impact on the development of the sectors. It is my view that when these recommendations are implemented we should have an expansion of the sectors with improved sustainability and both sectors would become more competitive.
